The meatball appetizer was superb, they were so tender they fell apart.I ordered the chicken parmesan. The spaghetti was flavorless and there wasn't any sauce to speak of, just a bunch of diced stewed tomatoes.. very plain, no flavor at all. The breading on my chicken was very hard so I had to break the pieces off the edges & set aside- because I'm not trying to break my teeth! The chicken and breading was also TOTALLY FLAVORLESS. I wouldn't order that again. My husband had the fettuccine presented with the tableside parmesan wheel, his dinner was excellent I loved the vibe, the service was excellent, I would definitely dine there again but would try something different next time!!
We enjoyed celebrating our GVSU graduate with lunch today at Palio. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door , the hostess greeted us warmly and in spite of the fact that we didnโt have reservations she politely said sheโd speak to the GM about accommodating us & that they did! A HUGE Thank you to the GM for getting our party of 7 seated quickly. Now on to the service and food. Our server did a great job , very attentive and especially good to the kids in our party making sure they had refills etc.. The food was phenomenal. Calamari was so fresh! Light flaky breading. Entrees: Chicken Parmigiana, Alfredo,(kid and adult) Margherita Pizza, Spaghetti (kids) Carbonara and Chicken Marsala all spectacular. Wine was smooth and paired well . Gelato (kids) Tiramisu were fantastic. And the complimentary Limoncello shots were a sweet unexpected finale. Will definitely be back!
We stopped in here for a last minute anniversary dinner and are so glad that we did. Everything was fantastic and well executed. I had the bisteco espresso dish, the sirloin was a perfect medium rare and well seasoned, my husband had the mezzanine a costine corte and loved it. We also found the Tuscan soup, ceasar salad and affagotto to be excellent. I found the price of a glass of sangria at $5.95 to be a steal, also while the prices aren't cheap I found them to be reasonable compared to other places. I also heard a server discussing GF options and asking about cross contamination needs with another table. Ignore a few negative reviews here, a few are just very nitpicky and I suspect these people are just never happy. We'll be back again when in the area.
If you are looking for an amazing authentic Italian place with a romantic atmosphere, THIS IS IT! The food was amazing and the staff is beautiful and friendly. The seating is very comfortable and romantic with the light music on the background. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing restaurant! I have never been to a Michelin star restaurant, but I must say I felt like this would be it here. The food was well presented and flavorful. Everything was served in good timing, and the service was splendid. I could not believe how fresh the food was for the prices! I was expecting to pay quite more for this dining experience. Daniel was our server, and he was so down to earth and helpful. They have a tablet that allows you to see pictures of the dishes so you know what you are getting. I was told that it is busy mostly on Friday nights and Saturdays, so go during the week or Sunday for lunch. We were there with one other table, saw mostly carry outs. You must try the tableside fettuccine alfredo, which is tossed inside a wheel of parmigiano reggiano. You are allowed a sample, which is imported from Italy. Almost everything is locally sourced and made in the kitchen. We were also given a shot of limencello vodka at the end, complimentary. Desserts were amazing! I will be back when Im in town. Park at the Hyatt lot, and they do validate. Compliments to the chef!
First time coming here, and our group really enjoyed it. We had a big group of 8, and they were easily able to accommodate it. The service was wonderful, and food was delicious. I usually get heavy based pasta, but I thought the shrimp scampi pasta looked delicious, and got that instead. It did not disappoint! We also got desserts, and they were good. I think itโs better than some pasta place in the area that gets more hype, we will be back! My friend also said they have a good happy hour selection!
I am so thankful I found this gem! Atmosphere is beautiful, basil growing on the windowsills, everything is so fresh, best wine selection Iโve seen in a long time, food is exquisite. Service, impeccable. Ask for Daniel! Heโs the best!
